A single-herb liquid extract of dried flower of Chrysanthemum x morifolium, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Ju hua is the tea chrysanthemum, a Chinese cultigen with no wild ancestor that has been selected and named for well over a thousand years. The forms grown for drinking are small single or semi-double white and yellow flowers, not the heavy florists' pompons, and they are picked in full bloom and either steamed or dried whole so that the head holds together. Dropped into hot water, a dried head slowly reopens and floats.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

People allergic to ragweed, chrysanthemums or other Asteraceae may react to chrysanthemum flowers. Not for use in pregnancy.
